WESTERVILLE, Ohio -- The Presidents trailed by nine at halftime, but went cold from the field in the second half of a 94-62 loss against Hiram in the Smokey Ballenger Classic at Otterbein.
Brian Lindquist (Narvon, Pa./Pequa Valley) led all players with a career-best 25 points on 9-of-14 shooting and 7-of-9 from the free-throw line. The 25 points topped his previous benchmark of 22 points, which he accomplished twice last season.
Christian Rohaus (Harrison City, Pa./Penn-Trafford) (eight points) and
Mike Zappala (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) (six points) both hit a pair of three-pointers in the loss.
Sean Stinelli (Harrison City, Pa./Penn-Trafford) led the Presidents with five rebounds on the afternoon, to go with five points and a team-best three assists.
Washington & Jefferson, having concluded nonconference play, will return to Presidents' Athletic Conference action on Tuesday, Jan. 3 with a 7:30 p.m. tip-off at Grove City.
