WASHINGTON, Pa. – Washington & Jefferson fell to top-ranked and defending national champion Thomas More, 88-57.
The loss snaps a season-long nine-game winning streak, bringing the Presidents' overall record to 19-4 with a conference record of 14-2.
Beka Bellhy led the Presidents with a team-high 14 points, shooting six for six in free throws, while also bringing down seven rebounds.
Rachel Bellhy contributed two points and eight rebounds of her own.
Beka Bellhy's first of two free throws at 6:42 in the third quarter resulted in the Bellhy family (Zach, Nate, Beka and Rachel) collectively reaching 4,000 points in W&J basketball.
Alyssa Riley added 12 points, shooting 2-5 from beyond the arc in the second half.
A pair of Presidents,
Amirah Moore and
Danni Medovich, collected five points each. Medovich also provided a team-high five assists, while Moore helped with four.
W&J will remain at home for Senior Night against Westminster on February 17th at 5:30 pm.
