By Anthony Socrates, Sports Information InternWASHINGTON, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson women's lacrosse team topped Franciscan, 14-4, after maintaining the lead for 60 minutes on Thursday at Alexandre Stadium.

Four Presidents netted multiple goals including
Ashley Bulger and
Caroline Kallos each recording a hat trick, as well as
Lauren Brown and
Diana Harvey both tallying two goals respectively.

W&J outscored Franciscan 8-2 in the first half despite the stats appearing even. The Presidents and Barons each totaled nine shots on goal, with Franciscan turning the ball over 13 times to W&J's 12.

In the first five minutes of the second half, Franciscan scored twice to W&J's once to make it 9-4. However, the Barons could not stop the Presidents from having their way as they netted five unanswered goals concluding the game with the score of 14-4.

Michaela Mulokey had a stout game in the net, stopping 10 shots on 14 attempts.

Allison Onslow also contributed goals in the victory.

W&J outshot Franciscan, 21-14, caused 30 Baron turnovers and had 13 draw controls to the visitors' eight. The Presidents move to 2-4 on the year and Franciscan goes to 0-2.

The Presidents will take on Thomas More at 1 p.m. Sunday at Alexandre Stadium in their first Ohio River Lacrosse Conference matchup of the season.
