DEFIANCE, Ohio -- Six Washington & Jefferson men's lacrosse players recorded multiple goals in a 21-3 victory against Defiance in an Ohio River Lacrosse Conference match.

Out of the 10 Presidents who found the back of the net, six had multiple goals. Bryan Whipkey scored five goals with Devon Curran and Siddharth Sharma netting hat tricks. Stephon Burton, Jacob Bow and Ryan Quan had a pair of goals apiece.

Kyle Heinig, Matt Densford, Zach Fredericks and Rocco Ruscitto also tallied goals.

W&J's 21 goals, with 33 shots on goal, are the most the team has scored this season.

The Presidents shut out the Yellow Jackets in the first half that featured Whipkey netting four out of their 10 goals.

In the beginning of the third period, W&J recorded four more goals to make the score 14-0. Defiance finally got on the board with eight minutes left in the third to make the score 14-1.

However, W&J would score seven goals to its opponent's three, concluding the second half.

Jacob Succop picked up the win and accounted for one save after facing only one shot. Succcop, played for 15:00, was relieved by Elijah Long, who had four blocks in 45:00 minutes.

The Presidents move to 4-10 overall and 3-2 in the ORLC this season.

W&J will travel to New Wilmington, Pa. to take on Westminster in an ORLC contest at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 20.
