The Pioneers were getting a majority of the scoring opportunities in the first half and were able to get on the board first just beyond the half-way point in the half when Nathael Van Der Walt and Rejep Mukhammedov assisted Roberto Whitley with 22:27 remaining.

Nick Stasko (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) (0-1) took the loss for the Presidents, making four saves in 90:31 of action. Manuel Pazjer (1-0) got the win for the Pioneers as he made three saves.
