How it Happened: The Washington & Jefferson men's water polo team fell in its first game of the weekend to Connecticut College, 13-12, on Saturday, Sept. 24.
 
Top Performers: Patrick Fredrick (Saratoga, Calif./Bellarmine College Prep) led the Presidents attack with six goals, on 10 shots, and two assists while adding a steal and two drawn ejections.
 
The Rest: Tyler Willison (Rockford, Mich./Rockford) and Owen Hanna (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) both scored twice, with Hanna adding two assists, while Ian Geister (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) and Joshua Emde (Ballwin, Mo./Parkway West) both tallied a goal and an assist. Mac Hennessy (Blue Bell, Pa./Wissahickon) made nine saves in goal.

The Rest: Nicholas Willison (Rockford, Mich./Rockford) and Troy Smith (San Marcos, Calif./San Marcos) both scored three times and added an assist while Fredrick, Hanna, Emde, Nicholas Spehar (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) and Jack King (Atlanta, Ga./Marist School) all scored twice. Emde and Geister tallied a team-high two assists apiece. Hennessy made 12 saves and gave up four goals while Zach Bacchus (Ocoee, Fla./West Orange) made two saves.

How it Happened: In the weekend's finale, W&J fell to host Salem International, 21-13.
 
Top Performers: Fredrick led all President scorers with six goals on seven shots and three assists while Nicholas Willison added four goals and an assist.
 
The Rest: Hanna, Smith and Tyler Willison each scored once to round out the scoring while Emde tied Fredrick for a team-high three assists. Hennessy made eight saves in net for W&J.
 
What's next: The Presidents will get back in the pool on Saturday, Oct. 15, when they host Monmouth College (11:40 a.m.) and Penn State Behrend (5 p.m.) at Henry Memorial Natatorium.
