Quartet of Presidents in double figures in loss at No. 5 Thomas More

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – The Washington & Jefferson women's basketball team was defeated by No. 5 Thomas More, 93-70, on Saturday afternoon in Presidents' Athletic Conference action.
 
Danielle Parker (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) scored a team-high 22 points and made 3-of-6 shots from long range to go along with five rebounds, two assists and a steal. Her 22 points marked the third game of the season Parker has scored at least 20 points while this was also her fifth consecutive game scoring in double figures and eighth time in the last nine games.
 
Amirah Moore (Moon Twp., Pa./Moon) finished with 14 points in the game with five assists, her sixth straight game with at least five, while blocking a shot and coming away with two steals. Taylor Cortazzo (Irwin, Pa./Penn-Trafford) totaled 12 points in the game and connected on 2-of-3 triples in addition to four rebounds, three assists and two steals.
 
Mya Gordon (Washington, Pa./Washington) also scored 12 points to round out the double-digit President scorers. Gordon pulled down a team-high eight boards to go along with two blocks and four steals.
 
The Presidents will return to action in another PAC showdown on Wednesday, Jan. 18, when they host Waynesburg at 6 p.m.
