Presidents stay unbeaten in PAC play with 75-73 OT win at Grove City

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson women's basketball team needed overtime at Grove City, but prevailed, 75-73, to improve to 4-0 in Presidents' Athletic Conference play on Tuesday, Jan. 3.

Danielle Parker (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) led all scorers in the game, finishing with a career-high 26 points on 10-for-17 shooting (.588) while also pulling in 10 rebounds, her second double-double of the season and fifth straight game with at least eight rebounds. She also blocked three shots in the game and came away with two steals. Amirah Moore (Moon Twp., Pa./Moon) totaled 14 points and dished out eight assists on the day.

Mya Gordon (Washington, Pa./Washington) came off the bench finished with 11 points and made 5-of-6 shots from the floor while Mia Woytovich (Charleroi, Pa./Charleroi) filled the stat sheet in her second start of the season as she finished with seven points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals.

The Presidents' bench provided a strong effort, outscoring the Wolverines' bench, 17-6, while the Presidents as a team held advantages in points off turnovers (26-22), second chance points (14-7), points in the paint (36-28) and fastbreak points (8-2).

Conference play will continue for the Presidents on Thursday, Jan. 5, when they host Thiel at 6 p.m.
