GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson volleyball team defeated Grove City in four sets, 3-1 (25-14, 21-25, 25-17, 25-22), on Wednesday, Oct. 18.

The win improves the Presidents to 10-10 overall and 7-7 in conference play. Grove City falls to 9-16 in total, with a 6-8 Presidents' Athletic Conference record.

Madison Lydic (Erie, Pa./Fort LeBoeuf) led the team with a career- and match-high 21 kills and a .432 hitting percentage. Abby Eich (Greencastle, Pa./St. Maria Goretti (Md.)) followed with 14 kills and a service ace, and
Julia Bernesser (Glenshaw, Pa./Shaler) added nine more kills.
Mallory O'Brien (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) aided the offense with a match-high 42 assists.

Morgan Jacques (Pittsburgh, Pa./Pittsburgh Science & Technology Academy) helped the defense with four blocks apiece.
Makenzie Coughlin (Brunswick, Ohio/Brunswick) tallied a team-high 26 digs, and
Julia Galbraith (Pittsburgh, Pa./Vincentian Academy) added 23 more.

The Presidents will return to the court on Friday, Oct. 20, at 7:00 p.m. as they host Saint Vincent in a PAC showdown on Homecoming weekend.
