WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson men's basketball team dropped the 2017-18 home opener to Juniata, 80-54, on Tuesday, Nov. 21.
Brian Graytok (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Central Catholic) shot four-of-four from the field and added three free throws to score a team-high 11 points. He also tied for the game high with two blocked shots.
Sophomores
Sean Stinelli (Harrison City, Pa./Penn-Trafford) and
Jonathan DeVito (Pittsburgh, Pa./Pittsburgh Central Catholic) tallied nine points apiece and added three three-point field goals in total. Classmate
Mike Zappala (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) scored eight points and made a pair of three-pointers.
Brian Lindquist (Narvon, Pa./Pequea Valley) collected a team-high five rebounds.
As a team, W&J blocked four shots and went 14-of-20 from the free throw line.
The Presidents will next travel to Muskingum on Saturday, Nov. 25 for a nonconference showdown. Tip-off is slated for 3:00 p.m.
