Mia Woytovich (Charleroi, Pa./Charleroi) scored a career-high 18 points to help lead Washington & Jefferson to a 73-61 win over Millsaps (Miss.) at the Music City Classic hosted at Trevecca Nazarene.
Woytovich hit a career-best four three-pointers en route to scoring 18 points. She finished the game 6-of-12 from the field, but 4-of-6 from beyond-the-arc, while adding four rebounds and two assists.
Amirah Moore (Moon Township, Pa./Moon) reached double figures for the eighth time in 10 games this season, contributing 17 points thanks to matching her career high by making 11 free throws (in 12 attempts).
Lauren Gilbert (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) reached double digits for the first time in five games, contributing 13 points.
Alie Seto (Allison, Pa./Brownsville) led all players with nine rebounds, her season high, while adding nine points, one off her season best.
Mya Gordon (Washington, Pa./Washington) and
Danielle Parker (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) both recorded identical tallies of six points and eight rebounds.
The Presidents, who improved to 9-1 on the season, outscored the Majors in the first (22-14) and fourth (18-11) quarters to earn the victory. Millsaps inched past W&J in the second (17-16) and third (19-17) periods.
W&J will play Notre Dame (Md.) at 4 p.m. EST (3 p.m. CST) on Saturday, Dec. 30 to close out action in Nashville.
