CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. -- Washington & Jefferson built a 9-1 lead through 30 minutes and never looked back in a 14-3 Ohio River Lacrosse Conference win at Thomas More.

Caroline Kallos (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin), Monica Ewansik (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) and Rae LaRochelle (East Sandwich, Mass./Sandwich) all scored within the first 8:11 to give W&J a 3-1 lead. The next six goals were scored by five different players, with LaRochelle completing the hat trick, to give W&J a 9-1 lead at halftime.

Kallos opened the scoring in the second half and LaRochelle added a pair of markers, as did Jenna Allen (Sanford, Fla./Seminole) to give the final margin of 14-3.

The Presidents took 30 shots to TMC's nine and corralled 18 ground balls and 12 draw controls compared to 13 and seven.

LaRochelle had seven points on five goals and two assists, plus a game-high 13 shots. Ewansik handed out four helpers and scored twice to end with six points. Kallos and Allen had three and two points, respectively. Kayla Boulas (North Branford, Conn./North Branford), Katelyn White (Linthicum, Md./North County) and Leah Yerardi (West Newton, Mass./Newton North) all added goals each, with Yerardi's marking the first of her career.

Defensively, Kallos had four draw controls and four ground balls to lead all players.

Michaela Mulokey (Alexandria, Va./Bishop Ireton) earned the win in goal, making a pair of saves and allowing just one goal in the first half. Sara Maute (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J Roberts) had two saves and two allowed goals in the second half.
