WASHINGTON, Pa. –
Caroline Kallos (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) tallied her 200th career point and
Monica Ewansik (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) reached 100 points in her Washington & Jefferson career to help the women's lacrosse team to a 15-5 win over Franklin on Saturday afternoon, April 22.

The Presidents improved to 8-4 overall and 7-0 in Ohio River Lacrosse Conference play with the win as the Grizzlies fell to 5-4 overall and 3-2 in league play.

Kallos and Ewansik got the Presidents on the board early as they both scored and assisted once each to put the Presidents ahead 2-0. After two more W&J goals, Kallos scored her second goal of the game to become just the fourth player in program history to reach 200 career points, which gave the Presidents a 5-0 lead. After W&J scored twice more to take a 7-0 lead, the Grizzlies scored back-to-back goals just 27 seconds apart midway through the half.

Ewansik got both of those goals back, her third and fourth goals of the game, to give the Presidents a 9-2 halftime lead.

With the first goal of the second half, Ewansik became just the eighth player in program history to eclipse the 100-point mark. The Presidents scored three more goals before the Grizzlies added their third of the game, putting the score at a 13-3 W&J advantage, as both teams then traded two goals each the rest of the game to yield the final result.

Ewansik set a new W&J career high with nine points as she scored six goals and added three assists while Kallos provided four goals and an assist for her fifth game this season with at least five points.

Rae LaRochelle (East Sandwich, Mass./Sandwich) scored and assisted twice to finish the game with four points and
Lauren Brown (Novi, Mich./Novi),
Jenna Allen (Sanford, Fla./Seminole) and
Kayla Boulas (North Branford, Conn./North Branford) each tallied a goal and an assist.

Kallos and
Katherine Hooper (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield Area) led the Presidents' defense with four caused turnovers each while
Katelynn Linthicum (Stewartstown, Pa./York Catholic) caused three. Ewansik and Kallos both won five draw controls and Ewansik picked up a game-high six ground balls.

Michaela Mulokey (Alexandria, Va./Bishop Ireton) (7-3) earned the win as the netminder for the Presidents after she made eight saves in the game.

The Presidents will return to action on Sunday, April 23, when they host ORLC foe Mount St. Joseph in their home finale at 1:00 p.m.
