How it Happened: The Washington & Jefferson men's water polo team was defeated by Penn State Behrend on Saturday, Sept. 9, at Mercyhurst by a score of 9-7.
Top Performer: Troy Smith (San Marcos, Calif./San Marcos) led the Presidents offense with a hat trick, scoring twice in the second quarter and once in the fourth.
The Rest: Chonghwi Yoon (Seoul, South Korea/Pennington School (N.J.)),
Dylan Gwinn (Baltimore, Md./Mount St. Joseph),
Ian Geister (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) and
Nick Spehar (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) each scored one goal to round out the scoring for W&J as Yoon and Gwinn tallied their scores in the second quarter while Geister and Spehar both scored in the third.
What's next: The Presidents will get back in the pool on Friday, Sept. 22, when they travel to Salem International for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
