PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Freshman
Thomas Davidson (Upper St. Clair, Pa./Upper St. Clair) scored the game-winning goal in the 84th minute to send the Washington & Jefferson men's soccer team to a 3-2 nonconference road win at La Roche.

The game-winner was assisted by
Scott King (Springfield, Va./West Springfield)Â and was the first career goal for Davidson and first point of King's career. It was necessary because the Redhawks knotted the score at 2-2 in the 74th minute when Kyle Harriett scored off a corner kick by Joaquin Vicent Franch.

La Roche got on the board first with a goal late in the fifth minute off the boot of Pedro Ansede. W&J struck back with the next two goals as
Paul Mokrzan (Hilliard, Ohio/Watterson) scored both with the assistance of
Matt Prezioso (Clairton, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) in the 15th and 24th minutes.

For the game, W&J outshot La Roche, 18-11, with an 11-6 advantage in shots on goal.
Jacob Fetterman (Pottstown, Pa./The Hill School) led all players with four shots, while Mokrzan and
Alex Blout (Apopka, Fla./Apopka) each tallied three shots.

Nick Stasko (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) improved to 3-2 on the season in goal, making four saves in the process.

W&J wins its third straight to improve to 3-2 with the victory and La Roche falls to 2-3 after seeing its two-match winning streak snapped.

The Presidents will remain on the road for their third of five-straight road games when they travel to Maryland for a 1 p.m. match at Frostburg State on Saturday, Sept. 16.
