WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson men's basketball team fell in a Presidents' Athletic Conference matchup with Thomas More, 86-62, on Saturday, Jan. 13.

After grabbing an early 6-2 lead, the Presidents allowed the Saints to score the next 11 points as the Saints took their first lead of the game, 13-6. W&J pulled back to within three points at 17-14 before surrendering an 11-2 Thomas More run, 28-16. The Saints closed the first half on a 12-3 run to increase their lead to 47-28 heading into halftime.

In the second half, Thomas More outscored W&J by a 39-34 margin to yield the final result.

Brian Lindquist (Narvon, Pa./Pequea Valley) led the Presidents' offense with 10 points and shot 5-for-7 from the floor to go along with four rebounds and a block.

Jonathan DeVito (Pittsburgh, Pa./Pittsburgh Central Catholic) and
Nicholas Campalong (Sewickley, Pa./Ambridge) both tallied eight points in the loss. DeVito connected on two three-pointers and dished out four assists while Campalong hit 3-of-6 shots and both free throw attempts and added three rebounds and a steal.

The Presidents will be back in action on Wednesday, Jan. 17, for a 7:30 p.m. PAC showdown at Waynesburg.
