WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson men's basketball team was unable to hold off Westminster on Wednesday night, Jan. 31, as the Presidents fell to the Titans, 72-58, in Presidents' Athletic Conference action.

The Presidents started off strong, answering early Westminster buckets to claim a 15-11 lead through the first 10 minutes of the first half. But, over the next 2:45, the Titans scored 11 straight points to take a 22-15 lead. W&J recovered by outscoring Westminster 9-4 over the final 7:07 of the first half to cut its deficit to two points at halftime, 26-24.

Through seven minutes of the second half, both teams scored 17 points to keep the point differential at two. However, the Titans put the Presidents away for good over the next 4:55 with 13 unanswered points, grabbing a 56-41 lead, as W&J only outscored Westminster, 17-16, the rest of the way to yield the final result.

Brian Lindquist (Narvon, Pa./Pequea Valley) led the Presidents' offense with 15 points on the night, his 11th game of the season with double-digit points. The senior pulled down three rebounds and dished out a pair of assists in the game to add to his line.

Sean Stinelli (Harrison City, Pa./Penn-Trafford) finished with 14 points and made three three-point field goals, his seventh game of the year with at least three makes from downtown.

Brian Graytok (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Central Catholic) led W&J with four assists while
Nicholas Campalong (Sewickley, Pa./Ambridge) had five rebounds, his eighth performance of the season with at least five boards.

The W&J defense limited Westminster to 40 percent shooting from the field in the game, including 32.3 percent (10-31) in the first half.

The Presidents will be back in action on Saturday, Feb. 3, for an 8:00 p.m. PAC road contest against Chatham.
