W&J dealt 81-70 road loss at Pitt-Greensburg

GREENSBURG, Pa. -- Washington & Jefferson was unable to overcome a halftime deficit in an 81-70 nonconference loss at Pitt-Greensburg on Tuesday, Nov. 13.

The Presidents placed three players in double digits as Cameron Seemann (Loveland, Ohio/Archbishop Moeller) paced the Red & Black with 17 points to lead W&J for the second-straight game. The sophomore hit on 7-of-11 from the floor and 3-of-4 from beyond-the-arc, while also pulling down a team-best seven rebounds.

Joining Seemann in double figures were Jonathan DeVito (Pittsburgh, Pa./Central Catholic) and Zach Queen (Jeannette, Pa./Hempfield Area) at 12 points apiece. DeVito hit on 5-of-11 shots, including a pair of trifectas, and also grabbed a game- and career-high six steals. Queen's 12 points were a new career benchmark as he hit 4-of-8 from three-point range and also dished out a team-leading four assists.

Sean Stinelli (Harrison City, Pa./Penn-Trafford) added nine points, three rebounds and three steals, while Nicholas Campalong (Sewickley, Pa./Ambridge) chipped in eight points and four boards.

Defensively, the Presidents forced 24 UPG turnovers, which they turned into 28 points.

W&J will travel to western New York this weekend for the Medaille Tournament, beginning with the host Mavericks at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16.
