BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Washington & Jefferson men's basketball team opened the game on a 9-2 run and never looked back as it toppled Fredonia State (N.Y.), 73-64, on the second day of the Medaille WNY Knee and Orthopedic Surgery Tournament.

With the victory, the Presidents even their record at 2-2 on the season after claiming back-to-back wins for the first time since Feb. 11 & 15, 2017. The 2-2 start marks the best beginning to a year since opening the 2013-14 campaign with a 3-1 mark.

Freshman Primo Zino (Morgantown, W. Va./Trinity Christian) led the Presidents with 15 points off the bench thanks to 4-of-8 from the floor and a perfect 6-of-6 at the free-throw line. It was the first time in four games the rookie scored in double figures. He also pulled down five rebounds in the win.

Jonathan DeVito (Pittsburgh, Pa./Pittsburgh Central Catholic) added 12 points, four rebounds and two assists, while sophomore
Cameron Seemann (Loveland, Ohio/Archbishop Moeller) reached double digits for the fourth time in as many games this year with 11 points, thanks to a 7-of-8 showing at the charity stripe. Seemann also snagged six boards.

Zach Queen (Jeannette, Pa./Hempfield Area) added nine points and five rebounds, connecting on a pair of triples, with freshman
Alexander Skowron (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) chipping in eight points and six boards.

As a team, W&J shot 42.3 percent (22-of-52) from the floor, but hit on 91.7 percent (22-of-24) from the free-throw line. The Presidents' bench also outscored the Blue Devils', 30-18, while holding Fredonia to 39.1 percent (27-of-69) from the floor and just 15.8 percent (3-of-19) from three-point range.

W&J will travel to Huntingdon, Pa., for a 7 p.m. pre-Thanksgiving matchup at Juniata on Tuesday, Nov. 20.
