WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson men's basketball team fell to Bethany by a score of 89-69 on Saturday, Feb. 10, in Presidents' Athletic Conference action.

After falling behind 9-1 early in the first half, the Presidents found their stride on offense and came back to tie the game at 17-17. Bethany responded by scoring 11 straight points to gain a double-digit advantage and stayed ahead by double digits for the rest of the first half, leading W&J, 46-33, at the half.

The Presidents cut the Bison lead down to as little as eight points twice during the second half but the Bison never let up on offense outscoring W&J, 43-36, in the second half.

Sean Stinelli (Harrison City, Pa./Penn-Trafford) and
Amos Luptak (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) finished with a team-high 13 points apiece to lead the Presidents' offense. Stinelli pulled in three rebounds, dished out three assists and blocked two shots on defense while Luptak notched four rebounds and four assists.

Brian Graytok (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Central Catholic) and
Brian Lindquist (Narvon, Pa./Pequea Valley) combined for 19 points on Senior Day with Graytok scoring 10 on 4-for-10 shooting with five rebounds, five assists and two steals. Lindquist totaled nine points on 3-for-5 from the field, including 3-of-4 from the foul line, and added four rebounds. Â

The Presidents will return to the court for the regular season home finale on Wednesday, Feb. 14, for an 8:00 p.m. tip against PAC rival Waynesburg.
