PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson women's soccer team suffered a 4-0 loss to No. 10 Carnegie Mellon in nonconference action on Friday, Sept. 21, in Pittsburgh, Pa.Â
The Tartans started their scoring output early, netting a goal in the second minute to storm ahead 1-0. Three unanswered scores in the 21st, 58th, and 66th minutes resulted in the 4-0 final. The setback halts a two-game win streak for W&J, who are now 2-4-1 on the season. With the victory, CMU improves to 5-1-1 on the year.Â
Katie Hahn (Volant, Pa./Wilmington) registered the Presidents' only shot in the contest, a wide attempt early in the second half.Â

Shayla Watkins (Charleroi, Pa./Charleroi) played all 90 minutes in goal for the Red & Black and finished with 10 saves.Â
The Presidents continue nonconference play on Sunday, Sept. 23, when they welcome Case Western Reserve to Alexandre Stadium for a 4 p.m. tilt.Â
