How it Happened: The Washington & Jefferson men's water polo team suffered a 19-6 setback to Gannon in a neutral-site bout on Saturday, Sept. 22.
Top Performer: Will Kitsch (Mohnton, Pa./Governor Mifflin) led the way for the Presidents with two goals against the Golden Knights.
The Rest: Troy Smith (San Marcos, Calif./San Marcos),
Robert Koch (Worcester, Pa./La Salle College),
David Boyer (York, Pa./Central York), and
Cam Spicer (Lansing, Mich./East Lansing) each scored one goal in the bout. Boyer also dished out two assists to lead the team.
Nick Spehar (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) made seven saves in goal for the Presidents.

How it Happened: W&J suffered an 18-9 setback to Salem to close out play on the weekend.
Top Performer: Kitsch paced the Red & Black with three goals against the Tigers.
The Rest: Dylan Gwinn (Baltimore, Md./Mount St. Joseph) finished second on the team with two goals, while Smith, Spicer, Koch, and
Dustin Reinke (Fresno, Calif./Buchanan) each netted one goal apiece. Smith also recorded a team-high two assists in the tilt. Spehar closed out the weekend with 13 saves.
What's next: The Presidents return to competitive action on Friday, Oct. 5, when they begin a trip the state of California. The first match of the road trip will see W&J challenge Whittier at 2 p.m. in La Verne, Calif.
