GREENSBURG, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson men's soccer team held a 21-8 shot advantage over Pitt-Greensburg in tonight's nonconference bout, but was unable to score in a 0-0 draw.
Following today's result, both the Presidents and Bobcats are 1-1-1 on the young season.Â
Paul Mokrzan (Hilliard, Ohio/Watterson) and
Matt Prezioso (Clairton, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) paced W&J with four shots apiece, while
Quinn Pickering (Camp Hill, Pa./Camp Hill) and
Joseph Feola (Carnegie, Pa./Central Catholic) were not far behind with three each.
Matt Kotkiewicz (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) had the team's best scoring chance in the 87th minute, but his shot at net was kicked off the line by a Pitt-Greensburg defender at the last minute.Â
Nick Stasko (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) played all 110 minutes in goal for the Red & Black and turned away all three shots he faced.Â
The Presidents will be back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 12, when they begin a four-game homestand against La Roche at 5 p.m. at Alexandre Stadium.Â
