NEW LONDON, Conn. -- The Washington & Jefferson College men's water polo team traveled to Connecticut College for another round of Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference games.
The Presidents fell to McKendree (24-8), Connecticut (19-11) and Salem (24-13).

How it Happened: McKendree opened a 9-2 first half advantage and carried a 12-4 halftime lead into the second half. The Bearcats outscored the Presidents 7-1 in the third quarter. W&J scored three times in the second and fourth quarters.

Will Kitsch (Mohnton, Pa./Governor Mifflin) and
Jason Wright (St. Louis, Mo./Linderbegh) each scored twice for the Presidents.

How it Happened: The first, second and fourth quarters were all won by Connecticut in 4-3 fashion. The Camels were able to pull away thanks to a 6-2 third quarter.

Andrew Edwards (Columbus, Ohio/St. Charles Prep) racked up six goals to pace the Red and Black.
The Rest: Muzzi and Spicer added two goals apiece. Bannon found the back of the net once.

How it Happened: Salem scored at least four goals in each quarter, including a seven-goal third quarter. The Presidents fell behind 9-4 at halftime, but responded with nine second-half goals.

The Presidents host Austin Friday for Senior Day and then host the CWPA Division III Eastern Championship next weekend at Chartiers Valley high school.
