Katie Hahn's Goal Leads Women's Soccer Past Saint Vincent, 1-0

WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Senior forward Katie Hahn (Volant, Pa./Wilmington) scored her 14th career goal to break a scoreless tie in the 57th minute of play and give the W&J women's soccer team a 1-0 win over Saint Vincent in a Presidents' Athletic Conference match on Wednesday evening.

This marks the fourth time this season that the Presidents have recorded a 1-0 shutout victory. The Presidents improve to 2-1 in conference play and 5-6-1 overall. Saint Vincent falls to 4-6 overall and 1-2 PAC.

The Presidents and the Bearcats were evenly matched as W&J and Saint Vincent both ended the night with 14 shots and two corner kicks.

Sophomores Izzy Saloom (Ligonier, Pa./Ligonier Valley) and Katie Brown (Mechanicsburg, Pa./ Cumberland Valley) led the team offensively, behind Hahn, each registering two shots with one shot being on goal. Senior defender Courtney Crivelli (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) assisted the Hahn goal for the Presidents. The assist was the second of Crivelli's collegiate career.

Brown, Crivelli, McKenna Lewis (Hershey, Pa./ Hershey) and Maddie Dittrich (Allison Park, Pa./Hampton) helped W&J post its second shutout in three PAC games this season. Hannah Goldman (Naples, Pa./Barron Collier) contributed 55 minutes off the bench while seeing her first collegiate action for the Red and Black.

Junior goalkeeper Gabriella Lloyd (Butler, Pa./ Butler) recorded eight saves over 90 minutes to earn the victory in net.

The Presidents travel to Chatham for a PAC match on Saturday, Oct. 9. Match time is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
