WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson College women's tennis team dropped only a single set in the Presidents' first win of the 2020-21 season as W&J blanked Bethany 9-0.
 
Maya Krishnasamy (Ventura, Calif./Ventura) picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles and teamed with Julia Schaffer (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria) for the victory at No. 1 doubles, 8-0. Schaffer snagged a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5 doubles.
 
Bella Goldman (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper Saint Clair) earned a 6-1, 6-0 triumph at No. 2 singles and combined with Lisha Chadda (Grand Rapids, Mich./Forest Hills Eastern) at second doubles for an 8-0 win. Chadda grabbed a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles as well.
 
At No. 3 doubles, Jaelyn Kennedy (Pottstown, Pa./Pottsgrove) and Libby Conlon (Renfrew, Pa./Knoch) won 8-0. Kennedy picked up a singles win at the No. 4 spot, 6-0, 6-0.
 
Victoria Wilson (Butler, Pa./North Catholic) earned the victory at No. 3 singles 6-0, 6-0.
 
The Presidents host Geneva on Saturday.
