DELAWARE, Ohio -- Two first half goals led Ohio Wesleyan University to a 3-0 victory over the Washington & Jefferson College women's soccer team in non-conference play Saturday afternoon.
The Battling Bishops tallied the opening goal in the 36th minute of play before adding another just one minute later in the 37th minute. The third goal came in the second half of the game in the 62nd minute. Ohio Wesleyan held distinct advantages on shots (20-4) and corner kick opportunities (10-3).Â

Katie Hahn (Volant, Pa./ Wilmington) paced the Presidents offensively with two shots. Sophomores
Katie Brown (Mechanicsburg, Pa/ Cumberland Valley) and
Kayla Daugherty (Prospect, Pa./ Slippery Rock Area) each added one shot for the Presidents.Â
Gabriella Lloyd (Butler, Pa./ Butler) got the start in goal and got one save in the first half.
Abby Hipkins (Canonsburg, Pa./ Canon-McMillan) played the final 45 minutes and stopped three shots while only surrendering one goal.Â
The loss drops W&J to 2-3 overall while Ohio Wesleyan moves to 4-1. The Presidents host Allegheny College at Alexandre Stadium on Tuesday, Sept 14th at 7 PM.
