STEUBENVILLE, Ohio -- The Washington & Jefferson College men's tennis team fell to Franciscan in the 2022 conference opener with a score of 9-0 Wednesday afternoon on the road.
The No. 1 doubles team of
William Gunn (Beaver Falls, Pa./Riverside) and
James Gunn (Beaver Falls, Pa./Riverside) put together the best effort for the Presidents, as the duo dropped an 8-1 decision.
Samuel Vessah (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) put forth a strong effort in the No. 4 singles spot, falling by a 6-4, 6-1 score.
