WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Dominic Flitcraft (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) raced to the individual title Friday evening at the annual W&J Cross Country Invitational at South Strabane Community Park. The Red and Black took home the team title with a score of 29. 

Flitcraft recorded a time of 16:03.43 to pick up the title in the 5K event. The time bested the closest competitor by nearly 25 seconds.

Daniel Deal (Butler, Pa./Knoch) finished in fourth place overall with a time of 17:21.68. The fourth place showing was the best effort of Deal's collegiate career. 

Jake Sinclair (Beallsville, Pa./Beth-Center) and Shawn Walker (Washington, Pa./Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter) went back-to-back in the sixth and seventh spots. Sinclair finished with a time of 17:52.55 while Walker clocked in at 17:57.43 in his first collegiate race. 

Lorenzo Zeni (Monogahela, Pa./Ringgold) finished just outside of the top 10 in 11th place with a time of 18:38.68. Collin Helmick (Salem, Ohio/Salem) and Ramaniah Karamcheti (Washington, Pa./Washington) were 14th and 17th, respectively, to round out the top seven finishers for the Presidents. 

W&J took the team title (29 points) while Waynesburg (47), Fairmont State (60) and Marietta (93) rounded out the team standings. Bethany competed as individuals only. 

The Presidents return to competition when they head to the Bethany College Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 9.
