WASHINGTON Pa. – The Washington and Jefferson men's soccer team dropped a 3-0 loss to visiting Carnegie Mellon Wednesday evening in non-conference play at Alexandre Stadium.

The Presidents overall standing is now 1-2-1 overall in 2023. The Tartans improve to 4-1-0 overall this fall.

Both teams would remain scoreless throughout most of the first half of play until the Tartans found the back of the net with five minutes remaining in the half.

The Tartans would then find the goal two more times in the second half of play to give the Tartans a 3-0 shutout victory.

Carnegie Mellon posted a sizable number of shots compared to the Presidents putting 14 of their 26 shots on goal while the Presidents put up just three shots on goal of six total shots throughout the 90 minutes.
