BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson women's tennis team used a strong performance to claim a 7-2 road win over Geneva College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference match the Blackhawk Courts in Beaver County.
The Presidents improve to 2-1 in the PAC and 3-2 overall. The loss drops the Golden Tornadoes to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
W&J earned hard fought wins in each of the doubles flights to secure a 3-0 lead.

Riley Moore won by an 8-6 decision at the top spot.
Jaelyn Kennedy / Emma Humphrey edged the Geneva duo in a tiebreak at second doubles. Kennedy and Humphrey were victorious by an 8-7 (7-5) score.
Pooja Potluri / Lisha Chadda posted an 8-4 decision at third doubles.
W&J won four of the six singles matches. All four victories came in straight sets.
Pulicherla won 7-5 and 7-6 (7-3) at the top spot. Moore picked up another win, as she earned victory with set scores of 6-1 and 6-4.
At the fourth singles position, Kennedy won in straight sets by scores of 6-2 and 7-5.
Chadda finished the evening with a victory at fifth singles. Chadda registered the victory by scores of 7-5 and 6-2.
W&J travels to Franciscan on Tuesday, Sept. 26. The match is slated for a 6 p.m. start.
