WASHINGTON, Pa. - The Washington & Jefferson men's soccer team played to scoreless draw with the visiting Saint Vincent Bearcats in a Presidents' Athletic Conference bout Saturday afternoon.
The Presidents held a 16-11 shot advantage over the Bearcats but was unable to score in a 0-0 draw.
Following today's result, W&J sits at 2-3-2 overall. Both the Presidents and Bearcats are now 1-0-1 in PAC play.
Freshman Justin Parker Wyatt (Coatesville, Pa. Unionville) led the offensive with three shots on goal for the Presidents. Freshman Aiden Marks (West Mifflin, Pa. West Mifflin) had the team's best scoring opportunity of the afternoon in the 43rd minute. However, his shot rang the top crossbar before being corralled by the Saint Vincent goalkeeper.
Charles Boldosser (Westminster, Md. / South Carroll) collected six saves in his nearly 65 minutes of play, while Graeme Ewart (Arlington Va. / Yorktown) recorded two save in his just over 25 minutes of play.
W&J will travel to Chatham for their next Presidents' Athletic Conference game on Sept. 27. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
