MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The Washington & Jefferson College men's water polo team dropped three matches over the weekend in competition at the Mylan Aquatics Center in Morgantown.

Gannon 13, W&J 10
The Presidents and Golden Knights matched up for the second time this fall.
The two teams traded scores through the first quarter. Both teams found the back of the net three times during the opening frame. A score by
Kailer Spicer (East Lansing, Mich./East Lansing) gave W&J a 3-2 edge before the Golden Knights evened the score late in the quarter.
Aidan Miller () netted a pair of scores in the second quarter. However, the Golden Knights outpaced the Presidents by a 5-2 margin in the quarter to take an 8-5 lead at halftime.
By the beginning of the fourth quarter, Gannon used a run by open up a 13-8 advantage. Miller and Spicer tallied the final two goals of the match to close the scoring.
Miller led the way offensively with a team-high four goals.
Spicer finished with three goals.
Mitchell Rubio (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) recorded two goals and two assists.
Zishuo Ma (Los Alamitos, Calif. / Los Alamitos) made 12 saves in the loss.
Sunday Recap
McKendree 21, W&J 11
McKendree led 4-1 after the first before stretching the advantage to 9-4 at halftime. McKendree then scored five of the six goals in the third quarter to lead 14-5.
The fourth quarter produced 13 goals. W&J put together its most productive quarter with six scores.
Chris Edwards (Bexley, Ohio / St. Charles Prep) led the Presidents with three goals and three assists in the loss.
Aidan Johnson (Nassau, Bahamas / Windsor) added three goals while Rubio accounted for two.
Ma made five saves in the loss.
Salem 19, W&J 10
The Presidents and Tigers faced off for a third time already this season in the weekend finale.
Salem held a 7-5 edge at halftime over W&J. A big second half boosted the Tigers' efforts to produce the victory.
Seven different Presidents scored in the match. Miller, Rubio and Spicer each finished with a pair of goals. Ma made 12 saves in goal.
W&J travels to Penn State Behrend for four matches on Oct. 7-8.
