LATROBE, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson Women's Soccer team fell to the hosting Saint Vincent Bearcats by a 2-0 score, Tuesday evening.
The Presidents drop to a 4-8-2 overall record with the loss and 1-4-1 in conference play. The Bearcats improved to 12-1-1 overall with a 6-0 mark in conference play.
Despite both teams putting up a multitude of shots, Saint Vincent put three on goal in comparison to W&J's two shots on goal.
The Bearcats scored in the 8th minute of play followed by another tally in the 9th minute. The two Saint Vincent goals were the only scores of the first half and ultimately the rest of the contest.
Molly Schoch (Burgettstown, Pa./ Burgettstown) logged one save in net for the Red & Black during her 90-minute effort.
W&J will hit their home pitch this weekend, hosting Thiel on Saturday (Oct.19). Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m.
