NEW CONCORD, OHIO – The Washington & Jefferson College men's lacrosse team suffered a 17-8 loss on the road Sunday at Muskingum University.
The loss drops W&J to 1-1 while the Fighting Muskies improve to 3-0 in 2024.

Aiden Herman (West End, N.C./Pine Crest), W&J held a narrow 3-2 lead after the first quarter. After
Paul Shook (Camp Hill, Pa./Trinity) tacked on a man-up goal to extend the lead to 4-2, Muskingum took control of the match. The Muskies netted the final five goals of the quarter to lead 7-4 at halftime.
The Muskies outscored the Presidents by 5-2 margins in the third and fourth quarters to finish off the decisive victory.
Shook finished with three goals and an assist to finish with four points.
Carter Watts (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown) also tallied four points with two goals and two assists. Herman scored three times for his second consecutive hat trick.
Ronin Keane (Medford, Mass./Arlington Catholic) picked up a team-high 10 ground balls.
Austin Hopkins (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) had two caused turnovers.
Evan Cosgrove scored seven goals and added two assists in the victory to lead the Muskies.
W&J heads to Mount Union for a non-conference game on Saturday, March 2. Start time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
