WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson College Department of Athletics selected Megan Joyce (Uniontown, Pa./Laurel Highlands) and Dante DiMatteo (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel), as its Washington Health System Student-Athletes of the Month for February 2024. 

Each month's award winners are selected by a panel of athletic department staff, student life staff and faculty.

Joyce holds a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average while dual majoring in Chemistry and Engineering. Joyce has earned medalist honors in all three events this spring and earned PAC Women's Golfer of the Week on March 26. Joyce finished third last spring at the PAC Championships and earned the 2023 PAC Newcomer of the Year. 

DiMatteo has compiled a 3.76 cumulative grade-point average while majoring in Accounting. DiMatteo has a 5-0 record with a program-best 15 saves during his 42 appearances with the Presidents. He has 109 strikeouts in 80.2 innings pitched during his time on the bump. 

As a freshman, DiMatteo earned honors from the ABCA All-Region 7 (Third Team - Relief Pitcher), D3baseball.com All-Region 7 (Third Team - Relief Pitcher) and as an All-PAC Second Team (Pitcher).
