OBERLIN, Ohio – The Washington & Jefferson College cross country teams completed action at the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble. The women finished in fourth place while the men took 22
nd.
 
Claire Anderson (Jamestown, Pa./Jamestown) finished in first place to power the W&J women to a top finish. She paced her way to a 21:17.80 time, besting the next best runner by 28 seconds. This marks the second first-place finish for Anderson at a meet this season.
 
Chloe LoCastro (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) and 
Maria Gilles (North Ridgeville, Ohio/Lake Ridge Academy) each finished close behind in the top 20. LoCastro placed 14
th with a time of 22:44.90. Gilles finished seconds behind in 19
th place with a mark of 23:06.10.
 
Dominic Flitcraft (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) led the W&J men with an 11
th place finish in the 100-runner field. His time of 25:51.20 was the best time out of any Presidents' Athletic Conference runner at the event.
 
Wyatt Stroup (Port Royal, Pa./Juniata) followed up Flitcraft's finish with a 35
th place mark. Stroup paced his way to a time of 26:26.40.
 
Both cross country teams return to the course on Saturday (Nov. 1) for the PAC Championships hosted by Allegheny. Action is scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m.
