LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Washington & Jefferson College cross country teams wrapped competition at the Greater Louisville Classic. The women finished 10
th of 45 teams while the men placed 34
th of 41.
Claire Anderson (Jamestown, Pa./Jamestown) led the women in the Blue 6k with a sixth-place finish and time of 21:25.6. Anderson was only bested one Division III runner from Trine along with four runners from Division I Middle Tennessee State and Kennesaw State.
Maria Gilles (North Ridgeville, Ohio/Lake Ridge Academy) finished close behind with a 29
th-place finish with a time of 22:38.6. Gilles crushed her former personal-best time of 23:03.08 posted at the 2024 NCAA Regionals.
Chloe LoCastro (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) finished next up with a 70
th place finish with a personal best time of 23:19.7.
Dominic Flitcraft (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) led the men with an 11
th place finish with a time of 25:22.0.
Wyatt Stroup (Port Royal, Pa./Juniata) placed 35
th with a time of 25:52.5.
The Presidents return to action at the Oberlin Invitational on Saturday (Oct. 18). Races will begin at 11:00 a.m.
