CLEVELAND, Ohio – Washington & Jefferson College senior
Lily Giering (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township) secured All-North Coast Athletic Conference Field Hockey honors for a third-straight year Monday when the league announced the 2025 all-conference teams and award winners.
Giering, who earned Empire 8 Newcomer of the Year honors following her freshman season, collects All-NCAC honors for a third consecutive season. Under the mentorship of first-year head coach
Mackenzie Gagliardi, Giering posted team highs in goals (5), assists (4) and points (14) during the 2025 season.
Among NCAC players, Giering ranked tied for sixth in assists, seventh in shots on goal, ninth in points, and tied for 10th in goals.
The Reading, Pa. native had three games where she recorded at least one goal and one assist in the same contest during 2025. Giering posted a season-best four-point effort in a 3-2 win over Oberlin on Oct. 10.
Giering finishes her W&J career tied for 10th in goals and ranks 10th in assists. A pivotal four-year member of the team, Giering started all 62 games in which she appeared during her collegiate career.
