STANFORD, Calif. – A pair of four goal performances lifts the Washington & Jefferson College men's water polo team (2-18) to a 16-8 victory over the Wheaton (Mass.) Lyons (1-19).

The Presidents got off to a hot start offensively as they opened the contest with five goals. Freshmen Topher Mitchell (Annapolis, Md./Loyola Blakefield) and Liam Miller rounded out the early offense. Souder and junior Dillon Parker (Nipomo, Calif./Central Coast New Tech) picked up assists on the goals.

W&J scored three additional goals in the second period as senior captain Aidan Miller (Grove City, Ohio/St. Charles Prep) netted two scores and freshman Ciro Pro (Chicago, Ill./St. Rita of Cascia) got himself on the scoresheet with a tally of his own. Sophomores Joseph Aranda (Albuquerque, N.M./Menaul School) and Andrew Rippke (Perrysburg, Ohio/Saint Francis De Sales) picked up assists in the period.

Junior Adam Brock (Cypress, Texas/Cypress Ranch) rounded out the scoring for the Presidents as Mitchell picks up his second assist.

Defensively, W&J held the Lyons to one goal in the first three quarters of play. The team combined for 14 steals in the contest. Souder led the way with four steals and Pro was right behind him with three.
