HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Washington & Jefferson college men;'s tennis team dropped their first match of their spring break trip to Hilton Head, S.C. to Judson, 7-0.
The Presidents fall to 1-5 on the season while Judson elevates to 4-5 on the year.Â
W&J opened the day with a winless effort in the doubles matches, granting Judson the first team point of the match.
Nate Clarke (South Park, Pa./South Park) and
Alex Duing (South Park, Pa./South Park) posted the closest contest with a 6-2 decision at No, 2 singles.Â
Down 1-0 heading into the singles matches, the Presidents fell yet again in all six matches.
Nick Kubik (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) put up W&J's best fight at No. 1 singles, dropping each set 6-0, 6-2.
Abhinav Yarramaneni (Mountain View, Calif./Los Altos) and Duing got swept in one game and lost 6-1 in the ladder at No. 3 and No. 4 singles respectively.Â
The Presidents return to action on Wednesday (March 12) to take on Salve Regina at 2:00 p.m.
