TRAFFORD, Pa. – Washington & Jefferson College head women's basketball coach
Jina DeRubbo earned Coach of the Year and four student-athletes secured All-Presidents' Athletic Conference honors when the conference announced its 2025 all-league teams and award winners on Tuesday evening.
The all-conference teams, as well as the PAC's yearly award winners, are determined by vote of the league's 11 head coaches.
Highlighting the Presidents' representation on the all-conference announcement was DeRubbo earning selection as PAC Coach of the Year for a fourth-straight season. This marks the 11th time in her illustrious career that DeRubbo has been tabbed with the honor. She has claimed the honor seven times while leading the Presidents. DeRubbo guided the Presidents to a 23-4 record this season. The Presidents finished as the team's top team in the regular season to secure the top seed in the PAC Tournament, which the Red and Black captured this past Saturday when they defeated Chatham by a 59-50 tally in the championship game. DeRubbo has guided the Presidents to 20 or more victories in 16 of her 21 seasons while leading the program.

Loutsion ranks sixth in the PAC in scoring with an average of 13.3 points per game. She continues to excel at the free throw line, putting together one of the top percentages at the charity stripe. Converting at an 86.2 percent clip ranks her first in the conference and 22nd among all D-III players. Loutsion poured in a career-high 28 points in a win over Penn State Behrend on Dec. 30. She has added 64 assists, 33 steals and 20 blocks to her season totals.
Kovalchick picks up all-conference honors in her first season as a full-time starter. The Presidents' center averaged 11.4 points per game. The sophomore added 34 assists, 25 steals and 20 blocks during the campaign. She earned a spot on the PAC All-Tournament Team.

She also chipped in 60 assists and 33 steals during her final season in Red and Black. She netted a career high 22 points in a road win over Saint Vincent on Feb. 8. Cherry saved her best effort for her final game inside Salvitti Family Gymnasium, scoring a game-high 19 points and pulling down seven rebounds all while playing all 40 minutes of the PAC Championship game. For her efforts, Cherry earned PAC Tournament's Most Outstanding Player.
The four All-PAC honorees mark the most for W&J since the 2020-21 season.
W&J will take on Messiah University on Friday (March 7) in the NCAA Division III First Round. The start time is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Branch Rickey Arena on the campus of Ohio Wesleyan University.
