BEREA, Ohio – The Washington & Jefferson College track & field teams wrapped their first final qualifying meet at the Harrison Dillard Twilight hosted by Baldwin Wallace University.
 
Anthony Cestaro III (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers) nabbed the highest placement for the Presidents with a seventh-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.85. He also raced to a 13^th place mark in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.84 in the preliminary round.
 
Julian Paul (Pittsburgh, Pa./Montour) paced his way to a 16th place finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:54.89. Paul also took 22^nd in the 1,500-meter run with a mark of 3:56.70.
 
Daniel Deal (Butler, Pa./Knoch) finished 12^th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:01.51.
 
Maria Gilles (North Ridgeville, Ohio/Lake Ridge Academy) and Chloe LoCastro (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) each logged 24^th-place finishes on the day for the W&J women. Gilles took 24^th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:22.07. LoCastro finished 24^th in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 19:06.11.
 
W&J will return to the track on Monday (May 12) for the Widener Final Qualifier hosted by Widener University. Events are scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m.
