CLEVELAND, Ohio – Eight members of the Washington & Jefferson College field hockey program were honored Monday when the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) announced its 2024-25 Dr. Gordon Collins Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll.
Recent graduates
Camryn Cresci (Wilmington, Del./Alexis I. DuPont) and
Ella Phillips (Arnold, Md./Broadneck) as well as rising seniors
Lindsey Blount (Lockport, N.Y./Starpoint),
Lily Giering (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township) and
Sara Schriver (Greenville, S.C./Christ Church Episcopal School) made the list. Rising juniors
Emily Bloom (Irwin, Pa./Penn-Trafford),
Megan Brackney (Latrobe, Pa./Greater Latrobe) and
Angelina Fontana (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove) also earned spots on the honor roll.
To be honored, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore on an active roster in a sport sponsored by the conference and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. Eligible honorees are submitted by each school.
Under first-year head coach Mackenzie Gagliardi, W&J will open the 2025 season with a non-conference home game versus Lycoming University on Friday, Aug. 29. Start time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
