Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women’s Soccer Handled by No. 18 Ranked Carnegie Mellon

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson College women's soccer team (3-2) was upended by the No. 18 ranked Carnegie Mellon Tartans (4-1), 10-0.
 
The Tartans jumped in front of the Presidents early in the midweek match, scoring three goals in the first half. Carnegie Mellon also outshot W&J 20-1 prior to the half.
 
CMU broke the game open in the second half with a seven goal performance to take the 10-0 victory. Alexa Taylor (Aliquippa, Pa./OLSH) launched the only shots for W&J in the contest, both being on target.
 
Molly Schoch (Burgettstown, Pa./Burgettstown) spent all 90 minutes in goal, tallying 14 saves.
 
The Presidents look to regroup as they host Juniata this Saturday (Sept. 13) for a home match at Alexandre Stadium. First touch is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start.
