WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson College men's soccer team (3-0-1) bested the Carlow Celtics (1-2) in a Wednesday night match, 3-0.
The Presidents kicked off play with a two-goal half.
Jimmy Gogol (Westminster, Md./Westminster) scored the first goal in early in the 35
th minute off a pass from fellow captain
Ethan Bowser (Elizabeth, Pa./Elizabeth Forward). Quickly after, freshman
Jonathan Barahona (Leesburg, Va./Tuscarora) scored his first collegiate goal on an unassisted attempt. The Presidents outshot the Celtics 13-0 through the first half.

Jacek Piekut (Pittsburgh, Pa./Taylor Allderdice) also scored his first collegiate goal in the 85
th minute to give the Presidents a 3-0 victory.
Graeme Ewart (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) started the game in goal for W&J for 45 minutes of play, not facing a shot on goal. Freshman
Logan Joseph (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) finished the game in goal and registered two saves.
W&J returns the pitch Saturday (Sept. 13) as they travel to Virginia to face the Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets. First touch is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start.
