MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Following a standout final season, Washington & Jefferson College graduate student guard
Riley DeRubbo (Washington, Pa./Trinity) earned a spot on the D3hoops.com All-Region 7 Second Team. The organization announced its 25th annual All-Region teams and award recipients for each of the 10 regions on Monday (March 16).
DeRubbo led the Presidents in scoring (15.2 per game), rebounding (6.3 per game), and three-pointers made (59) this season. DeRubbo ranked second on the squad in assists (79) and third in steals (46).
Among conference players, DeRubbo ranks sixth in scoring, second in the PAC and 29th in the NCAA in free throw percentage (85.2 percent), fifth in three-point percentage (34.3 percent) and third in three-pointers made (59).
The versatile guard scored in double figures 25 times this season and scored 20 points or more on five occasions. She twice posted a season-high 24 points including in the season opener against fellow NCAA Tourney qualifier Penn State Behrend on Nov. 10. DeRubbo finished with 18 points and eight rebounds against NCAA Tournament qualifier SUNY Cortland on Nov. 22. She earned a spot on the PAC All-Tournament Team after averaging 16.0 points and five rebounds per game across the Presidents' three wins to secure the conference title.
DeRubbo helped W&J to yet another successful campaign in 2025-26. The season was highlighted by W&J's second-straight conference tournament title and eighth title overall. W&J appeared in the NCAA Division III Tournament for the 10th time in program history after finishing the season with a 22-7 overall record.
Players were nominated for these awards by the Sports Information Directors at the various schools. There were 797 players nominated nationwide. The ballot was then made available to a number of SIDs, who voted for a predetermined number of players in their region.
