Josh Dezenzo (Alliance, Ohio/Marlington) was selected as the Presidents' Athletic Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday (March 30).
Dezenzo propelled the Presidents to another undefeated week, going 4-0 with conference sweeps against Thiel and Waynesburg. Dezenzo finished the week batting 10-for-15 (.667) on the week with four RBIs, four doubles and two homers. He also tallied his 100th career hit as a President on the week. Dezenzo hit .500 (4-for-8) and scored four runs against the Tomcats across both games, with an RBI and two doubles in game one. The senior went 6-for-7 (.857) against the Yellow Jackets, bashing two doubles in game one and two homers with three RBI in game two and crossed home plate five times overall in the twinbill.
The Presidents step out of conference play to face Muskingum University on Tuesday (March 31). First pitch in New Concord, Ohio for the single nine-inning contest is scheduled for 4 p.m.
