GREENWOOD, Ind. – Four members of the Washington & Jefferson College baseball team have been selected to the 2026 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Baseball Team, as announced by the organization on Tuesday (June 2).
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Baseball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District®, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, and be a standout on the diamond, competing in at least 90 percent of their team's competitions, or start in 66 percent of games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances OR pitched 35 innings.
Selected for the 2026 CSC Academic All-District® Baseball Team was senior
Chase Perry (Ponte Vedra, Fla./Nease), juniors
Andrew Miko (Portage, Pa./Portage), and
Bobby Budacki (New Brighton, Pa./New Brighton Area), along with sophomore
Jack Anderson (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum). This is the first time that these players have been selected for this award. Additionally, W&J baseball has had at least four people named to the CSC Academic All-District® Baseball Team since the format changed in 2023.
Perry made 12 appearances and seven starts for the Presidents on the mound, pitching a total of 45.0 innings. Perry finished with a 2-2 record on the season. Most notably, Perry pitched a seven inning win against Bethany to help W&J remain in the winner's bracket during the PAC Championships. In that start, Perry had six strikeouts, two walks, and only gave up one run. In the classroom, Perry has accumulated a 3.68 GPA with a major in accounting.
Miko started in 42 out of the team's 45 games this season. The junior finished the 2026 campaign as an All-PAC Second Team outfielder with a .316 average and a .951 OPS. Miko also finished the year with six home runs, drew 25 walks, and was hit by a pitch 14 times. The junior had a two-homer game against Grove City on April 18 during the regular season. In the field, Miko had a .985 fielding percentage and only made one error. Academically, Miko has a 3.62 cumulative GPA with a major in accounting.
Budacki made 11 appearances on the mound for the Presidents, pitching a total of 41.2 innings. Overall, Budacki finished with a 4-3 record and recorded a 4.97 ERA. The junior had 23 strikeouts and only seven walks. Budacki made a six-inning relief appearance to help secure the PAC Championship and a place in the NCAA Division III Championships. In that outing, Budacki only allowed three hits and did not give up an earned run. In the classroom, the junior has a 3.74 GPA with majors in finance and economics.
Anderson played in 42 games this past season, starting in 41. The sophomore finished the season as an All-PAC Honorable Mention first baseman with a .329 average and a .904 OPS. Anderson had five home runs on the season and had 35 RBIs. In the infield, Anderson finished the year with a .997 fielding percentage, only making one error. Anderson's performances in the postseason also garnered him a selection to the PAC Championships All-Tournament Team. Academically, the junior finished his second year with a 3.77 GPA as an accounting major.
