MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson College track & field teams completed action at the Marty Goldberg Gator Invitational hosted by Allegheny College.
 
Claire Anderson (Jamestown, Pa./Jamestown) led the W&J women at the Marty Goldberg Gator Invitational. The senior won the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:34.27.
 
Sarah Schneider (Warren, Ohio/Lordstown) finished second in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.98. Before competing in the finals of the event, Schneider raced to her personal-best time of 14.93 in the prelims.
 
Lainey Hartner (Washington, Pa./Fort Cherry) took a fourth place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:08.01.
 
The relay unit consisting of Sarah Schneider (Warren, Ohio/Lordstown), Myleigh Mashburn (Monongahela, Pa./Ringgold), Lainey Hartner (Washington, Pa./Fort Cherry), Alyssa Trn (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg Area) took fifth place with a time of 51.45 in the 4x100 meter relay.
 
Anthony Cestaro III (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers) led the W&J men's team in the sprints. Cestaro III finished second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.86.
 
Nick DeSanto (Erie, Pa./McDowell) headed the Presidents in the jump events. DeSanto took third in the high jump with a top height of 1.95 meters (6' 4.75"). The junior also took 11^th in the long jump with a distance of 5.73 meters (18' 9.50"). Tavan Schoenberger (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) took fifth in the triple jump for W&J with a best jump of 13.36 meters (43' 10").
 
The 4x400 meter relay team of Ethan Coble (California, Pa./California Area), Anand Karamcheti (Washington, Pa./Washington), Lorenzo Zeni (Monongahela, Pa./Ringgold), Collin Dusman (Hartville, Ohio/Lake) took second with a time of 3:30.46.
 
Anand Karamcheti (Washington, Pa./Washington) finished fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.02.
 
The Presidents return to action at the 2026 Presidents' Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships starting on Thursday (April 30). Action in Morgantown, W. Va. Is slated to begin at 2:30 p.m. at The Track & Field Complex at Mylan Park.
